GENERAL PRESENTATION OF THE NUHCC

The NUHCC is, basically, composed by:

- One central post;

- One automatic canal;

- One traditional canal;

- Two reservoirs to stock water and for the pumps control.

Two reservoirs, located at the head of the automatic canal, serve to guaranty the inflow to the canal and also to control the operation of the two submersible pumps to pump water to the upper (smaller one) reservoir from the storage reservoir located at a lower level. At the downstream end of the automatic canal begins the traditional canal that ends with the water storage reservoir. This canal guarantees that the entire hydraulic system is a closed loop system.
